Let’s know about various myths related to minerals. As we all know that minerals are like mortar that reinforces the pillars of health. They are required to all age groups ranging from a child to an old person in all conditions. Right?
While its summer, it becomes really essential to intake minerals either through a proper diet or through a mineral supplement.
So, much has been written and said about minerals that they have given rise to some myths. Let us put some light on such myths along with their facts.
Myth 1:  Mineral and Vitamin Supplements can cure illness like heart disease or diabetes.
Fact:  Minerals or Vitamin Supplements fulfill our nutritional deficiency. They aren’t intended to treat any specific health problems.
Minerals and Vitamin Supplements are not medicine. They fulfill our daily nutritional needs which we are unable to fulfill from our food habits. Supplements help us in preventing illness, but exercising and eating are most important.
Myth 2: Supplements can make up for your diet flaws.
Fact: You still need a proper nutritional diet.
Supplements don’t replace a healthy nutritious diet. Supplement is a tool which we take on top of eating right. Eat plenty of fruits and vegetables and consume cereals, yogurt, milk etc. Take mineral and vitamin supplement on top of that.
Myth 3: The best supplement are labeled natural
Fact: Nutritional fact given on the label is more important.
We should pay attention to the nutrition information panel on the label.
Minerals intake is really important for a good health. But one should never overdose it. And keeping in track on latest updates on minerals can be beneficial too
